Brookline Public Relations Continues to Build National Presence with New Client Wins

Friday, October 16th, 2015

Good Earth Coffeehouse and Canada Beef join Brookline client roster for national communications support, music superstar Paul Brandt re-signs for cross-country tour

CALGARY (October 14, 2015) – There have been a lot of celebrations at Brookline Public Relations (Brookline) recently, as the Calgary-based public relations agency expands its client roster with Good Earth Coffeehouse and Canada Beef joining the team. Both brands have recently partnered with Brookline for communications support across Canada.

Good Earth Coffeehouse, a national café with more than 40 locations in Canada, has teamed-up with Brookline to build its profile across Canada and provide media/social relations and event management support around their new café openings. Brookline recently managed the opening of Good Earth’s newest location in Ottawa, Ontario, and is currently in the midst of planning subsequent launches and programs for the brand throughout Canada.

“Brookline is the perfect partner choice for our expanding business in Canada. Their exceptional food and drink, retail and lifestyle experience made them the obvious choice for Good Earth Coffeehouse,” says Michelle Winter, Director of Marketing, Good Earth Coffeehouse. “We are excited by their creative approach in helping to launch our brand in a variety of new markets.”

Canada Beef has also partnered with Brookline to lead a number of communications initiatives, including developing their annual report as well as providing communications and digital support for their upcoming rebranding campaign. Brookline will be executing media relations, consumer activations, internal communications and digital strategy for the national organization, helping to build Canada Beef’s profile in Canada and around the world.

Brookline is also singing some country tunes, as it re-signed to support country music superstar, Paul Brandt’s, current Canadian tour. Brookline is working with media coast-to- coast to drive awareness and ticket sales for one of Brookline’s most famous clients.

These wins come on the heels of signing international-brand Cococo Chocolatiers, owners of Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut, as well as launching the 20,000 Homes Campaign in Toronto with the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness – a program that brought national attention to this not-for-profit organization and their important initiative.

“Companies are recognizing the solid work Brookline has been doing in Canada and the days of being a Calgary-only PR agency is a thing of the past,” says Shauna MacDonald, Principal and Founder, Brookline. “Our stellar media relationships and strong strategic counsel means that regardless of where we are physically located, we are able to execute smart, creative communications programs anywhere in Canada.”

Lisa Libin appointed Group Director, Alisha Samnani promoted to Account Supervisor

Edmonton Arena District, Shaw Communications, Cococo Chocolatiers, Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, and Jack Daniels added to client roster

CALGARY – June 4, 2015 – There are exciting new developments happening at Brookline Public Relations (Brookline). Effective immediately, Lisa Libin has been appointed the agency’s Group Director and Alisha Samnani has been appointed to Account Supervisor.

Libin has worked in progressively senior roles in various agencies in Toronto. She has also worked for Canadian Blood Services and most recently, Rogers Communications Inc., managing the Western Canadian regions in both public relations and marketing capacities. She has won a variety of awards for her creative programs and stellar client service.

“Lisa brings a strong breadth of both agency and corporate experience which is important as our agency is growing exponentially right now,” says Shauna MacDonald, Principal and Founder, Brookline. “Her communications and marketing knowledge will help broaden Brookline’s national reach to become the leading boutique public relations agency in Canada.”

Samnani has dedicated more than four years to Brookline, propelling the business forward with her big picture thinking and strategic execution for some of the agency’s most celebrated brands. “Alisha’s natural ability to connect with clients and her commitment to growing Brookline has positioned her as a senior leader at the agency,” continues MacDonald. ”She has continually proven that there is no task too big or too small that she cannot execute seamlessly.”

These announcements come on the tails of a variety of new business wins for Brookline. Brookline has been busy working outside of Calgary, as the PR agency of record for the Edmonton Arena District – Canada’s largest mixed-used sports and entertainment development that will help transform and revitalize downtown Edmonton – led by a joint venture between the Katz Group and WAM Development Group. Brookline is also reaching the eastern borders as they lead the national launch for the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness’ upcoming campaign in Toronto. Brookline has also recently signed on Jack Daniels Tennessee Whisky as well as Cococo Chocolatiers as new clients. Not to mention, Shaw Communications has re-signed with the agency for various public relations and community investment initiatives.

“In today’s current economy, companies are looking to spend smartly and PR and integrated marketing have always been great avenues to help organizations make a strategic impact when dollars are tight,” explains MacDonald. “Thanks to Brookline’s stellar reputation and strategic business model, we are fortunate to continue to grow during tougher economic times and continue to partner with so many amazing brands.”

Brookline Supports the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness

Friday, November 28th, 2014

In October and November Brookline had the opportunity to work with the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) on three projects: The release of a national report on the state of homelessness in Canada, media management for their national conference, and media relations for “Band Together”, a Vancouver concert to help end homelessness.

Brookline’s efforts helped the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness gain national media attention about the issue of homelessness and what’s being done. Between the report, conference and concert, the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness achieved more than 150 media hits, including notable stories on CTV, CBC, Omni, Breakfast Television, Global, major newspapers across the country and nationwide talk radio.

The concert “Band Together” took place at Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre and featured performances by Blue Rodeo, Dustin Bentall and country duo High Valley.
