Brookline’s media relations efforts helped draw local, national and international media attention to Sheldon. His appointment garnered close to 175 hits, with stories appearing in notable outlets such as the Globe and Mail, Calgary Herald, Toronto Star, Fox News, NBC and CBC.

Sheldon’s appointment to the Order of Canada has created a platform for conversations surrounding child abuse, while working to change the stigmatism associated with these issues.

Brookline was honoured to work alongside Sheldon, Respect Group and the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre in bringing attention to child abuse and mental health issues.
