10 Days of “Yahoo” – Calgary Stampede 2014

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014

At Brookline Public Relations, we love the Calgary Stampede, and inevitably it becomes a week filled with executing client events, enjoying the rodeo and taking some time to eat a few pancakes too. Here’s a re-cap of what the BPR team was up to for Stampede 2014:

Field Law Stampede Party

The Annual Field Law Stampede Party at the Ranchman’s Club featured a live performance by country singer George Canyon, as well as the talents of Field Law’s very own band, “Dr. Fieldgood”. Brookline supported with media relations for the event.

RedHat Cooperative “Hats Off To Local Produce” Event at Bite Grocteria

Too many deep-fried Oreos? Brookline helped RedHat Cooperative plan and execute a “Hats Off to Local Produce” Stampede Lunch for the public and media at Inglewood’s Bite Grocteria. The healthy lunch, featuring produce and microgreens grown by RedHat’s southern Alberta farmers, included wheatgrass shots, eggplant flatbread, fried jalapenos, tomato salads and more. Growers were on-site to share tips with guests on how to select the best produce, and handed out their very own “grower cards”. Brookline were pleased to welcome 15 media guests at the event.

Western Hospitality at its Best

We enjoyed some great western hospitality from our friends and partners at AltaCorp, Franworks Group of Companies, nonfiction, Enerjet, Thomson Reuters, The Lorraine and Marketwired. Thank you for hosting us!

Pink Pancakes For All

Brookline has been a longtime supporter of the CIBC Run for the Cure, who hosted their annual pink pancake breakfast at Southcentre Mall in Calgary. Brookline supported with on-site media relations coordination. We’ll be back at Southcentre in October for the annual CIBC Run for the Cure.

Etalk at the Calgary Stampede

Etalk joined country superstar and Brookline client Paul Brandt and renowned fashion designer Paul Hardy at the new CS Mercantile to talk Stampede and Paul’s new single, “Forever Summer”.

We Rocked the ‘Dome

We rounded out Stampede with a Paul Brandt concert, where he performed as a headliner at the Calgary Saddledome as part of the Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series. Thousands of fans were treated to an energetic, memorable show – we’ve never been more proud to be “Albertabound”!

Thank you to our wonderful friends and clients for a fantastic Stampede. Like most in the business, we logged some serious miles in our cowboy boots, but we couldn’t be more proud of our ten days celebrating Calgary, our clients and great PR.
