New CEO in town: Encana announces new leader

Earlier this summer, Brookline was thrilled to have the opportunity to support Encana with the announcement of their new President and CEO.

Encana’s interim CEO had been in place for just over five months and the industry was well aware that the search for a permanent leader was taking place. The anticipation of who would take the helm of Canada’s largest natural gas producer made this an exciting event to be a part of.

Brookline supported the Encana Investor Relations and Communications team with logistics planning and coordination of a media roundtable and three employee town halls in Calgary, Denver and Plano in conjunction with the announcement.

On June 11, 2013, Mr. Doug Suttles, former Chief Operating Officer of BP Exploration and Production started his job as President & Chief Executive Officer and a director of Encana. Mr. Suttles has led oil and gas businesses in numerous countries and consistently delivered strong results.

The appointment of Encana’s new President and CEO generated ample national and local news coverage and Brookline was proud to support them with the announcement.
