Global Petroleum Show 2012 (Calgary, AB)

Brookline was thrilled to once again run the press office and manage all media relations for this year’s Global Petroleum Show (GPS), the largest show to date. GPS 2012 wowed Calgary with a record attendance of over 63,000 attendees and welcomed over 2,200 exhibitors, 95 representing countries and expanded over 720,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space over three days.

This year’s show focused on sustainable operations and promoting integrated and innovative energy practices. Industry experts and attendees came to Calgary for the bi-annual event from across the globe to share insight on emerging technology and the industry’s most pressing issues, filling up hotel rooms across Calgary. Premier Alison Redford gave an inspiring keynote address at the International Energy Leaders Forum, with Honourable Ken Hughes, Minister of Energy and Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin both in attendance. Other highlights included the opening night reception and Outdoor Exhibition and Rodeo.

Brookline worked alongside the show’s host, dmg :: events (dmg), in sharing with the world the high caliber of exhibitors at this year’s GPS. We are happy to report that GPS received fantastic media coverage this year.

GPS will return to Calgary at Stampede Park from June 10-12 in 2014, so book your hotel now!
