On September 26, the construction cranes over Edmonton’s ICE District came to life in a synchronized light and music show set against the downtown skyline. Brandon Vickerd’s Dance of the Cranes presented by ICE District was one of the most popular and eye-catching exhibits featured in Edmonton’s first ever Nuit Blanche, an all-night contemporary art event held in major cities across the world.

Choreographed by Canadian artist Brandon Vickerd, Dance of the Cranes invited Edmontonians to experience the city’s bustling energy as ICE District and Rogers Place get ready to open in fall 2016. Spectators watched as four high-rise construction cranes, illuminated against the night sky, pivoted, swayed and rotated in sequence to music and lights.

Brookline Public Relations had the pleasure of providing media relations support for the event lineup announcement, which welcomed Bob Black, Chief Project Development Officer at Oilers Entertainment Group, as a spokesperson. In addition, the Brookline team held coordinate media opportunities for the behind-the-scenes media preview/live rehearsal and public performance.
