Brookline Public Relations Selected as Agency of Record for the Edmonton Arena District

Calgary – Nov. 6, 2014 – Brookline Public Relations Inc. (Brookline) is excited to announce they have been named the agency of record for the Edmonton Arena District (EAD), a joint venture between the Katz Group and WAM Development Group (WAM).

The Edmonton Arena District, located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, will be a world-class entertainment and business centre. A mix of residential, business, retail and hospitality venue spaces, the EAD will integrate work, life and play in one centralized public area. Anchored by Rogers Place Arena, future home of the Edmonton Oilers, the EAD will transform Edmonton’s core into a dynamic mixed-use urban destination.

“WAM has been working with Brookline for several years and we are excited to continue this relationship as we embark on the Edmonton Arena District project in partnership with the Katz Group,” said Darren Durstling, President and CEO of WAM.  “Brookline has proven their ability to provide public relations excellence and brilliant event execution time and time again. We continue to value their commitment to delivering strong, solid results.”

With an expected completion date of fall 2016, the first phase of this revitalization project will bring an exciting change of pace to Alberta’s capital city. Currently, Brookline is managing all public relations activities for the EAD including media relations, crisis communications, and event management.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with WAM and Katz Group as we work together on the Edmonton Arena District,” said Shauna MacDonald, Principal and Founder of Brookline Public Relations. “We are thrilled to be involved in such an exciting project that will completely change the dynamic of downtown Edmonton.”
